Cenni storici e sul territorio:

Prizzi, a village in the province of Palermo, preserves its medieval appearance despite the numerous dominations that increased its importance over time up to the 12th century, when the Norman lord Matteo Bonello dismantled the town and gave part of it to the Monastery of Sant’Angelo and thus determined the founding of the town area as we know it today. However, the origins of Prizzi go far back in history, to the times of the survivors of the Sicanian town Hippana who built the Castle of Prixis in 258 B.C. The Magna Via Francigena crosses the wonderful Mount Carcaci Nature Reserve located just outside the town.
